Electrical Design Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to significant infrastructure projects. Operating remotely, you will focus on the electrical design aspects of major developments, ensuring systems are efficient, safe, and compliant with all relevant standards. This role requires a proactive engineer who can deliver high-quality design solutions independently, collaborating effectively with project teams and stakeholders through virtual channels.

You will be instrumental in shaping the electrical infrastructure of key projects, working from your chosen location to drive success from concept to completion, supporting critical development in areas like utilities and public works.

• Develop detailed electrical designs for infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations using CAD and relevant engineering software.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international electrical standards and building codes.
• Collaborate remotely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform site assessments and surveys as needed (may require occasional travel).
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.

• B.Eng. or
  
  B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
• Solid understanding of power systems, low voltage distribution, and building services.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to manage design tasks and meet project deadlines independently.
