Solar Project Developer

Our client is actively seeking an experienced and driven Solar Project Developer to join their expanding, fully remote team. This pivotal role involves identifying, evaluating, and securing new solar energy project opportunities across various regions. You will be instrumental in driving the growth of our solar portfolio, managing the entire development lifecycle from initial site assessment and feasibility studies to securing permits and financing.

• Identify and assess potential sites for solar power projects, considering factors such as land availability, grid connection, and local regulations.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, including energy yield assessments, preliminary designs, and financial viability analysis.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progression.
• Manage the permitting and entitlement process, ensuring compliance with all environmental and zoning requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to align project development with execution capabilities.
• Secure power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other necessary project financing arrangements.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven track record of 5+ years in solar project development or a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated experience in site assessment, feasibility studies, permitting, and PPA negotiation.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, grid interconnection processes, and energy markets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fully remote capacity, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
