About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Project Manager specializing in Infrastructure Development to join their team in Richards Bay . This role will involve leading significant infrastructure projects critical to regional development, managing all phases from planning and design through to construction and commissioning. You will liaunt with government bodies, community stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
The position operates on a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence for critical project phases and meetings, complemented by remote work flexibility.
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of major infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Oversee engineering design, environmental assessments, and construction phases, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal teams, external contractors, and diverse stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports, progress updates, and financial summaries to executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects , with a strong understanding of public sector and private development.
- Proven ability to manage complex project life cycles, including planning, procurement, and construction oversight.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with project management software and financial modeling for infrastructure development.
