About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking aviation technology company based in the Polokwane region, is seeking a talented and innovative Aircraft Systems Engineer for a remote position. This role focuses on the design, integration, and testing of complex aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and environmental control systems. You will contribute to the development of next-generation aircraft, working with a global team of experts to push the boundaries of aerospace engineering.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to leverage their expertise in a challenging and rewarding field, contributing to significant advancements in aircraft design and functionality from a remote location.
- Design, analyze, and validate aircraft systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety requirements are met.
- Develop system requirements, specifications, and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Perform system integration activities, troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless operation of interconnected components.
- Conduct simulations, testing, and validation of aircraft systems, both in simulated and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including airframe designers, avionics engineers, and manufacturing specialists.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and aviation regulations such as those from the SACAA and FAA.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft systems design, integration, or analysis.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics , structures, propulsion, and avionics systems.
- Proficiency with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, Model-Based Systems Engineering).
- Experience with simulation and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
