About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative and detail-oriented Remote Aircraft Systems Engineer to join their advanced engineering team, with initial oversight from their Centurion operational hub. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of complex aircraft systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to bring cutting-edge aviation technologies to life, all while working from your home office.
This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about aerospace innovation and capable of contributing effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Design, develop, and validate aircraft systems, including avionics, propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform system integration, testing, and verification activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and airworthiness requirements.
- Analyze system performance, identify potential failure modes, and implement robust solutions to enhance reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide engineering support throughout the product development and operational phases.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft systems design, development, or integration.
- Proven experience with aerospace systems, such as avionics, flight controls, or power systems.
- Strong understanding of aerospace standards, regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA), and best practices.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software and simulation tools relevant to aircraft systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
