Junior Electrical Engineer - Building Services

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services team in Nelspruit , offering a hybrid work arrangement. This role is focused on the design and implementation of electrical systems within commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to projects that include power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and building management systems.

• Assist in the design of electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency power.
• Develop electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and supervise installation as needed.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Perform electrical calculations for load demands, wiring sizes, and equipment selection.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 0-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in building services or MEP design.
• Familiarity with building electrical systems , lighting design principles, and power distribution.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for a hybrid work setting .
