About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Remote Process Improvement Engineer to drive efficiency and innovation across their manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity through the application of advanced engineering principles and methodologies. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate with various site-based teams, using data analysis and process mapping to recommend and implement impactful changes.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing systems and a passion for continuous improvement, contributing significantly to the company's strategic goals of operational excellence and cost optimization.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Utilize methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma , and Kaizen to drive process optimization.
- Create detailed process documentation, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate remotely with plant managers, engineers, and operators to gather insights and ensure successful implementation of improvements.
- Track and report on the performance of implemented changes, demonstrating measurable results and ROI.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement or operations engineering, preferably within manufacturing.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders remotely.
