A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Utility Surveyor to join a well-established, specialist surveying consultancy delivering utility mapping, GPR surveys, topographic surveys, measured building surveys, and mobile mapping services across London and the wider Southeast. With a strong track record of delivering accurate, high-quality data to clients across commercial, infrastructure, and construction sectors, this is a business built on technical excellence and precision.

For a driven Utility Surveyor looking to work on varied and complex projects with a respected independent consultancy, this is a company where a Utility Surveyor can genuinely thrive, develop, and make their mark.

As a Utility Surveyor, you will work closely with the survey team and project managers, taking ownership of utility detection and mapping fieldwork, producing deliverables to client specification, and supporting the safe and accurate delivery of survey programmes across a range of active sites working on sites nationwide around the Midlands area.

Responsibility & Duties
  • Conduct utility detection surveys using CAT, Genny, and GPR equipment
  • Produce accurate utility mapping data to PAS 128 specification
  • Carry out topographic and measured surveys to support utility projects
  • Interpret and process field data using AutoCAD and relevant survey software
  • Liaise with clients on-site to manage expectations and deliverables
  • Complete site risk assessments and adhere to health and safety requirements
Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Utility Surveyor in the field
  • Proficient with CAT & Genny, GPR systems, and total stations
  • Working knowledge of PAS 128 utility survey standards
  • Competent in AutoCAD; experience with Leica or Trimble equipment
  • Strong understanding of health and safety on live construction sites
  • Full UK driving licence — essential for this role
  • Relevant CSWIP, NRSWA, or utility-specific certification desirable
