GlobalCAD is looking for an experienced Revit BIM Technician / BIM Engineer to support a major UK rail infrastructure project in London.
This is a predominantly remote, initially part-time contract opportunity, working closely with an established fire engineering project team on detailed BIM modelling, coordination, drawing production and digital project deliverables.
The successful specialist must be UK-based with full right to work in the UK due to project security vetting requirements.
π What we're looking for
β Strong Autodesk Revit experience, specifically Revit 2023
β Strong AutoCAD skills and ability to produce/formally prepare CAD drawing submissions
β Experience with Navisworks and model/clash coordination
β Able to provide own Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Bluebeam (or agreed equivalent) software licences
β Experience working within ACC and other controlled CDE/project environments
β Ability to develop and maintain detailed coordinated BIM models
β Experience producing drawings directly from Revit and preparing exported DWGs for formal submission
β Good understanding of BIM coordination, clash resolution and structured model/drawing issue processes
β Confident communicating directly with UK project teams via Microsoft Teams
β UK-based with full UK right to work

β’ MEP/building services BIM experience
β’ Fire alarm, fire protection or gas suppression experience
β’ Project Wise and/or BIMCollab experience
β’ Asset data/model information experience
β’ Rail or major infrastructure project experience
β’ Current CSCS card
π About the Role
The role will include:
Β· Revit modelling of fire alarm, fire main and gas suppression systems
Β· Developing and maintaining project central models
Β· Resolving coordination/clash issues through ACC and BIMCollab
Β· Navisworks clash checking and reporting
Β· Regular model uploads through ACC and Project Wise
Β· Maintaining associated asset data and reports
Β· Producing detailed drawings from Revit
Β· Exporting and preparing AutoCAD drawings to project submission standards
Β· Attending BIM/coordination meetings as required
Β· Working to detailed project BIM requirements, including LOD

Specific fire or rail experience is advantageous but not essential; strong Revit/BIM capability and experience working within structured multidisciplinary project environments are more important.

π Typically 2-3 days per week, with some flexibility depending on project workload
β³ Initial 3-month engagement, with potential to extend as the project progresses
