My client is a global leader in intelligent management access systems. Trusted by many of the world's largest organizations across nearly every industry sector, they have grown exponentially since their inception in the late 1990s.
Due to growth, they are now recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will play a key role in the design and development of their next-generation products while also supporting continuous improvement across the current portfolio. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will transform concepts into robust production-ready designs, applying innovative techniques and collaborating with colleagues across a global network.
This role falls under the R&D flexible-working scheme, allowing you to choose when to work from home or the office, although hands-on tasks such as prototyping and testing will require regular presence in the office.
My client can offer an attractive salary to £55,000 DOE plus incentive schemes, discretionary annual bonus, life cover and more. We invite applications from Senior Mechanical Design Engineers with the following attributes:
- Minimum of an HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, with at least five years' experience in a product-design role and a strong background in electro-mechanical product development.
- Proficient in 3D CAD (ideally Autodesk Inventor) and experience with CAD revision-control systems such as Autodesk Vault Professional, supported by a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, moulding, die-casting and extrusion.
- Experience managing design projects, preparing technical reports for different audiences, and contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
