This is a one-year renewable consultancy engagement, operating on a hybrid basis and Outside IR35 for consultants contracting from the UK.
The consultant will work closely with the client's London-based Projects team, and the assignment will therefore be delivered primarily from the client's London office, with flexibility for some home working. The assignment will also involve regular travel to operational sites in West Africa as required by project activities.
The successful consultant must have significant experience supporting onshore producing brownfield Oil & Gas assets, with a strong background in concept development, feasibility studies, FEED, asset optimisation and project maturation.
The role will involve developing and evaluating technical concepts, undertaking process engineering studies and assessments, supporting projects through the appropriate engineering phases, and providing technical recommendations to support investment and project decisions. The consultant will also identify and evaluate opportunities to improve the performance of mature producing assets, including debottlenecking, production efficiency, throughput, reliability and crude export performance. This reflects the existing optimisation scope in the JD.
Candidates must have previous experience working within an Oil & Gas operating/E&P company and should have experience working across both site/operational and office/project environments. Previous exposure to projects and operations in Africa and/or the Middle East is strongly preferred.
