Position: Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer
Remote | Nationwide Projects | Bedford Office £60,000 - £80,000 DOE

An established fire safety and compliance consultancy is looking for a Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer to join their growing business. This is a key appointment for an experienced Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer who wants the opportunity to take ownership of fire engineering design and help develop this capability within an established fire safety company.

The role is fully remote, so location is not an issue. Their office is based in Bedford, while projects are delivered nationwide.

The Role

The successful Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer will take responsibility for managing fire engineering input across the full design stage, working on a range of complex residential, industrial and other technically challenging projects.

As the company does not currently have an in-house Fire Engineer, this person will have significant autonomy and will play an important role in developing and building the fire engineering function.

The company already delivers a broad range of fire safety services, including:

Fire Risk Assessments (FRA)
Fire Safety consultancy
Fire Protection
Fire Door inspections and consultancy
Wider compliance and fire safety support

The Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer will work alongside these existing services, providing technical fire engineering expertise from design through to project delivery.

The Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer

The successful Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer will ideally have:

2-3+ years' experience working as a Fire Engineer
Experience across complex, residential and industrial projects
Strong knowledge of UK fire safety and Building Regulations
Experience producing and managing fire strategies
Confidence managing projects throughout the design stage
Strong technical report-writing and client-facing skills
A relevant Fire Engineering qualification
IFE membership or progress towards professional accreditation would be advantageous

The Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer will receive a salary of £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience, fully remote working, nationwide project exposure and the opportunity to build and shape the fire engineering offering within an established fire safety consultancy.
