Junior Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join their innovative team. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad experience in geotechnical analysis and design within the mining and construction sectors. You will support senior engineers by performing site investigations, analyzing soil and rock mechanics data, and contributing to the design of stable structures and excavations.

• Assist in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations, including drilling programs and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil and rock samples, interpret laboratory testing results, and develop soil profiles.
• Perform slope stability analyses, foundation designs, and settlement calculations using specialized software.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide support for construction monitoring and field verification of designs.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, and construction professionals to ensure geotechnical requirements are met.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software such as Geo Studio, Plaxis, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
