Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Automotive Systems Engineer to contribute to the design and integration of complex vehicle systems. In this fully remote role, you will focus on defining system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for new automotive technologies, working closely with global engineering teams. You will ensure that different subsystems work together seamlessly to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and document system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for automotive subsystems (e.g., powertrain, chassis, ADAS).
  • Lead the integration of various vehicle systems, ensuring compatibility and performance across the entire vehicle platform.
  • Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and test plans to validate system performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and project managers to achieve program objectives.
  • Perform trade-off analyses and risk assessments to optimize system design and mitigate potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE) and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in automotive systems engineering, with a strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and integration.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., SysML, DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Experience with requirements management, architecture design, and FMEA analysis.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills suitable for a remote, international team environment.
