Our client is seeking a talented Structural Design Engineer to join their dynamic and growing engineering practice. This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of exciting projects, from commercial buildings to industrial facilities. You will be responsible for developing robust and innovative structural solutions, performing detailed analyses, and producing comprehensive design documentation. Key Responsibilities- Conduct structural analysis and design for building structures, bridges, and other civil infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD and structural analysis software.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Perform site visits and inspections as required, liaising with site teams to resolve structural queries.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in structural engineering materials, technologies, and building codes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and international best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design, preferably within consulting engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Revit Structure, ETABS, SAP
2000) and AutoCAD. - Strong understanding of building materials such as steel, concrete, and timber.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment.
