Junior Civil Engineer - Utilities & Services

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to support their work on utilities and services projects in Mahikeng. This part-time role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to gain hands‑on experience in the design and planning of essential services such as water, sewer, and stormwater systems. You will work closely with senior engineers, assisting with technical tasks and documentation.

• Assist in the design and planning of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater drainage systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD and other design tools.
• Conduct site visits and surveys as required, documenting findings accurately.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on design solutions and problem-solving.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or current enrollment in a recognized program.
• 0-3 years of experience, preferably with exposure to utilities design .
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and water/sanitation systems.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, suitable for a remote role.
