About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Water Resources Management to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role involves developing sustainable solutions for water supply, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management across various regions. You will play a key part in conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing complex water infrastructure projects, ensuring environmental compliance and efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of hydrological principles, a proven track record in project leadership, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, virtual work environment, contributing to critical water security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Conduct hydrological studies and develop comprehensive stormwater management plans.
- Oversee the planning and execution of water resource infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively in a remote setting.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to project teams and junior engineers.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering and infrastructure design.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA.
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic modeling software and water system design principles.
- Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills for remote team management.
