About the OpportunityAmentum is looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our Project Management Resource (PMR) team, supporting EDF Nuclear Generation and its UK nuclear fleet.
Based predominantly at Sizewell B Power Station
, you’ll join a large, client-led team delivering projects within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. You’ll work closely with the client’s Project/Programme Manager and Construction Manager, playing an important role in the safe and successful delivery of your assigned projects.
This is an opportunity to build on your existing project engineering experience while working alongside experienced professionals who will support and mentor your development. You’ll have access to training and opportunities to strengthen your technical, project engineering and leadership capabilities, with the potential to progress towards larger and increasingly complex projects.
While the role will primarily be site-based at Sizewell B, some flexibility between site, office and home working may be possible depending on project and business requirements. Occasional travel to other UK sites and stations may also be required.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Project Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned projects, working with the client and a cross-functional project team to achieve agreed safety, quality, schedule and performance objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:- Supporting the development and implementation of project execution strategies in collaboration with the client Project/Programme Manager.
- Coordinating cross-functional project teams to deliver work safely and effectively, in accordance with company policies, procedures and agreed project baselines.
- Taking accountability for the delivery of assigned project activities and ensuring established goals and objectives are achieved.
