About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to provide crucial R&D support. In this fully remote role, you will collaborate closely with our Port Elizabeth
-based research teams to advance novel chemical processes from concept to validation. Your expertise will be vital in designing experiments, analyzing data, and developing scalable process designs. This is a unique opportunity for a self-driven engineer to contribute to groundbreaking innovation from the comfort of their home office, working on challenging projects with a forward-thinking company that embraces remote collaboration and cutting-edge technology.
- Design and conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to test and optimize new chemical processes.
- Develop process simulations and models to predict performance and identify critical parameters.
- Analyze experimental data and generate comprehensive reports with clear recommendations for process improvements.
- Contribute to the development of PFDs and P&IDs for potential scale-up designs.
- Collaborate remotely with R&D chemists and engineers, providing technical guidance on process feasibility.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies applicable to process development.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in process development, research support, or related R&D roles.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD).
- Strong background in experimental design and statistical analysis (DOE).
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
