About the Role
Our client seeks a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in Transportation and Road Design to join their expanding, remote-first team. This role is essential for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the implementation of modern transportation infrastructure, including highways, urban roads, and intersections. You will play a crucial part in enhancing mobility and connectivity, contributing to the economic development and quality of life in the regions we serve.
Operating remotely, you will collaborate closely with a distributed team, utilizing advanced digital tools to deliver innovative and sustainable transportation solutions.
- Design and develop road alignments, intersection layouts, and pavement designs for new and existing infrastructure projects.
- Prepare traffic management plans, geometric design reports, and construction drawings.
- Conduct traffic impact studies and develop recommendations for capacity improvements.
- Ensure designs comply with national road design standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate remotely with project managers, urban planners, and other specialists using digital platforms.
- Review and approve contractor submittals and respond to design queries during the construction phase.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional registration (PrEng) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and road design.
- Proficiency in transportation design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and specialized traffic analysis tools (e.g., VISSIM, SIDRA).
- Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and road construction methodologies.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
