About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Senior Process Engineer to provide crucial operations support for their facilities in Randburg . This role focuses on optimizing existing processes, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality within the oil and gas operations . You will work closely with plant operators, maintenance teams, and project engineers to ensure seamless and reliable production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles, excellent analytical skills, and experience in troubleshooting complex process challenges. This position offers a valuable opportunity to make a direct impact on operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives in the Gauteng region.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
- Provide technical support to operations teams to resolve process upsets and equipment issues.
- Lead or participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and implement recommended safety improvements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operator training materials.
- Evaluate and recommend process modifications, debottlenecking projects, and technology upgrades.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or oil and gas industry .
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics , fluid mechanics, and mass transfer principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
