About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient Petroleum Engineer with a strong focus on economics and planning to join their team in East London . This role operates on a hybrid model, combining office-based analysis with remote work flexibility. You will be instrumental in evaluating the economic viability of exploration and production projects, developing long-term field development plans, and providing technical input for strategic decision-making within the oil and gas industry .
Working closely with reservoir engineers, geoscientists, and finance departments, you will contribute to maximizing the value of our client's assets. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for an analytical engineer aiming to influence project success.
- Perform economic evaluations and sensitivity analyses for exploration, development, and production projects.
- Develop and update integrated field development plans (FDPs) and budgets.
- Estimate reserves and resources using industry-standard methodologies.
- Prepare technical and economic justifications for project proposals and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment between technical plans and economic objectives.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on economic performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum engineering, with a significant focus on economics and planning.
- Proven experience in reserves and resources estimation, economic modeling, and risk assessment.
- Proficiency with petroleum economic software (e.g., Aries, Enrisk) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
