Remote Civil Engineer - Water and Sanitation Projects

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with specialized expertise in water and sanitation projects to join their innovative, fully remote team. This position is critical for developing and managing sustainable water infrastructure solutions on a national scale. You will collaborate with a diverse, geographically dispersed team of engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to deliver essential public services.

The role demands a deep understanding of water resource management, treatment processes, and distribution systems, coupled with exceptional remote collaboration skills.

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of water supply, treatment, and wastewater management systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses for water infrastructure projects remotely.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, technical specifications, and project cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, public health standards, and engineering best practices.
• Oversee project execution, liaising with stakeholders and managing project teams using advanced digital collaboration tools.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of innovative water solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
  Master's degree with a specialization in water resources or environmental engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in water and sanitation engineering .
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology , water treatment technologies, and wastewater systems.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM, Civil 3D).
• Exceptional remote communication, project management, and problem-solving skills for a fully remote position.
