About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their pioneering, fully remote team. This role is centered on advanced hydrology and hydraulic modeling for water management, flood control, and sustainable water resource development projects. Key Responsibilities- Develop and calibrate complex hydrological and hydraulic models for river systems, urban drainage, and water supply networks.
- Conduct flood risk assessments, drought analyses, and water resource management planning.
- Design water infrastructure, including dams, levees, storm water management systems, and water treatment facilities.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and design documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, government agencies, and interdisciplinary teams in a virtual environment to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant environmental regulations and engineering standards.
- Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in water resources engineering, with a focus on modeling.
- Expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MIKE suite).
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydrology, hydrogeology, and water quality principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead remote teams in delivering high-quality technical solutions.
