About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Remote Civil Engineer with specialized expertise in Water and Sanitation systems to join their fully remote engineering team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and overseeing projects related to potable water supply, wastewater treatment, and sanitation infrastructure across various communities. Working from anywhere, you will collaborate virtually with project managers, clients, and field teams to ensure the delivery of sustainable and efficient water management solutions.
This is an ideal opportunity for a self-driven engineer passionate about improving public health through robust water and sanitation infrastructure.
- Design and plan municipal water supply networks, including treatment plants, distribution systems, and storage facilities.
- Develop comprehensive wastewater collection and treatment systems, adhering to environmental regulations and public health standards.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and sewer networks to optimize performance and capacity.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documentation for water and sanitation projects.
- Collaborate remotely with clients, regulatory bodies, and construction teams to ensure successful project implementation and operation.
- Provide technical expertise and support for water conservation initiatives and sustainable sanitation solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and management of water and sanitation projects .
- Proficiency in relevant design software for water/wastewater systems (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS).
- Strong understanding of water quality standards, treatment processes, and sanitation technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork and client interaction.
