About the Role
Our client seeks a driven and experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their remote team, contributing vital expertise to their operations in the George area. This position focuses on maximizing value from hydrocarbon assets through advanced analysis and strategic planning. As a key member of the engineering department, you will leverage sophisticated modeling techniques and collaborate with diverse, globally distributed teams.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to apply their skills in a challenging, fully remote setting, driving innovation in reservoir management and production optimization.
- Develop detailed reservoir models and production forecasts to support strategic field development planning.
- Conduct economic analysis and sensitivity studies to evaluate project viability and optimize investment decisions.
- Monitor reservoir performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with geologists and geophysicists to integrate subsurface data into comprehensive reservoir interpretations.
- Manage and mentor junior reservoir engineering staff within a remote work environment.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least 7 years of hands‑on experience in reservoir engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software and data analysis tools is essential.
- Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering principles, including formation evaluation, fluid properties, and recovery mechanisms.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fully remote capacity.
