About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Sustainable Design Architect to spearhead environmentally conscious design initiatives from their remote work location, serving projects in Paarl and beyond. This role focuses on integrating principles of sustainability, energy efficiency, and ecological responsibility into all aspects of architectural design. You will champion the use of green building materials, renewable energy systems, and passive design strategies to create buildings that minimize environmental impact and enhance occupant well-being.

- Develop and implement sustainable design strategies for diverse architectural projects.
- Lead the integration of green building technologies , passive design principles, and renewable energy systems.

- Research and specify sustainable materials and building systems.
- Stay abreast of advancements in sustainable design, green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA), and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with consultants and clients to achieve project sustainability goals effectively in a remote setting .
- A professional degree in Architecture or a related discipline with a specialization in sustainability.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and green building practices.
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability principles , energy efficiency strategies, and environmental impact assessment.
- Experience with energy modeling software and green building rating systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration and client engagement regarding sustainability initiatives.
