Join our Public Safety & Subsidence team and help manage the legacy of Britain's coal mining past. You'll lead a varied portfolio of projects across the North East and occasionally Cumbria, working with contractors, consultants, local authorities and communities to investigate and remediate mining-related hazards.

From managing planned remediation projects to supporting emergency responses when incidents occur, you'll play a key role in protecting people, property and infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project management experience gained in construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, environmental services, utilities, surveying, geology or a related field who is looking for a role with genuine purpose and impact.

You’ll be someone who can:

• Lead multiple projects from planning through to delivery.
• Manage contractors, consultants and suppliers to achieve successful outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with customers, communities and external partners.
• Balance quality, cost, timescales and risk.
• Make sound decisions using technical information and professional judgement.
• Communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

You may hold a degree, HND or HNC in a relevant discipline, or have developed equivalent knowledge and experience through your career.

Experience of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, procurement processes and project financial management would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in hearing from candidates with transferable project delivery experience.

As a Regional Project Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of public safety and subsidence projects across the North East of England and occasionally Cumbria.

You'll oversee investigations, remediation works and contractor performance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and provide value for money. You'll work closely with colleagues, customers, local authorities and specialist suppliers to develop practical solutions that protect communities affected by mining legacy issues.

Our team also plays a vital role in responding to incidents such as ground instability, property damage and mining-related hazards. You may be required to support emergency response activity, helping to coordinate expertise, resources and decision-making when rapid action is needed.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines project delivery, stakeholder engagement, site-based activity and problem solving.
