About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to join their team in East London . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that various automotive systems – including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and software – work together seamlessly to deliver optimal vehicle performance and functionality. You will play a critical part in the integration process, troubleshooting complex interactions between different subsystems and validating overall system behavior.
Your work is essential for creating reliable and high-performing vehicles.
- Plan and execute system integration activities for new vehicle platforms and feature developments.
- Identify and resolve conflicts and interdependencies between different automotive subsystems (e.g., engine control, ABS, infotainment).
- Develop and implement system-level test plans and validation procedures, both in simulation and on physical vehicles.
- Analyze system performance data, diagnose integration issues, and collaborate with subsystem engineers to implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with system requirements, safety standards, and regulatory mandates.
- Document integration processes, test results, and system configurations meticulously.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with a focus on integration.
- Strong understanding of automotive architectures, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and software components.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with system modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
