About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aircraft Structures Technician to join their remote engineering support team. This role is designed for an expert in aircraft structural repair and maintenance, providing essential remote oversight and technical guidance. You will be instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity and airworthiness of a fleet of aircraft by diagnosing issues, developing repair strategies, and supporting on-site teams through virtual means.

This position demands a deep understanding of metallurgy, composite materials, and structural repair techniques, fostering a culture of safety and excellence in aviation maintenance from a distance.

• Provide remote technical assistance and troubleshooting for complex structural issues encountered during maintenance.
• Review and approve structural repair schemes, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and regulatory standards.
• Develop detailed work instructions and support documentation for structural repair tasks performed by on-site technicians.
• Analyze non-destructive testing (NDT) reports and recommend appropriate structural repairs.
• Collaborate virtually with design engineers and maintenance teams to resolve emergent structural discrepancies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all structural inspections, repairs, and modifications performed.

• Trade qualification or certification in Aircraft Structures or a related aerospace discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician, with increasing responsibility.
• Expertise in repairing and maintaining aircraft structures, including metal, composite, and bonded structures.
• Proficiency in interpreting structural repair manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience with various NDT methods and understanding of their application in structural integrity assessments.
