Remote Drilling Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Drilling Engineer to join their global operations team, supporting projects in the Oil & Gas sector. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in drilling operations from anywhere, contributing to the planning, execution, and optimization of drilling campaigns. You will work closely with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the drilling lifecycle.

• Develop comprehensive drilling programs, including well design, casing and cementing strategies, and fluid selection.
• Oversee drilling operations remotely, providing technical support and troubleshooting for issues encountered in the field.
• Conduct daily performance analysis, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient drilling.
• Manage drilling budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety or quality.
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and rig personnel to achieve drilling objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices for drilling operations .

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering, with a proven track record of successful well planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of drilling equipment, techniques, and operational challenges.
• Proficiency in drilling simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and remote collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
