Be a part of cutting-edge research, engage with professionals who share your passion, and create work you can be proud of. As a Distinguished Oil & Gas Engineer, you will contribute to the success of the organization by performing one or more of the following:
- Work with project teams and EERC clients to inform strategies and implement solutions that enable prudent and economic production and use of fossil and renewable energy, reduce the carbon intensity of energy production, and assist stakeholders in understanding the economic implications of various pathways.
- Work in collaboration with EERC subject matter experts, leadership, and clients to prepare proposals and budgets and to develop, pursue, and execute business opportunities that are responsive to client interests.
- Assist project managers by working with project teams to ensure work is successfully completed on time, on budget, and within client expectations.
- Effectively and professionally communicate progress and status and participate in knowledge-sharing with stakeholders, including partaking in or leading in-person meetings, web meetings, conference calls, and presentations to stakeholders, and attending or presenting at conferences.
- Prepare briefings, technical reports, conference papers, peer-reviewed journal articles, and outreach materials. Communicate technical results to clients, stakeholders, the public, and the scientific community.
- Significant travel may be required.

- Knowledge, curiosity, and a passion for learning
- Advanced degree in petroleum engineering, geological engineering, geophysics, geology or closely related field
- 15+ years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) operations
- 10+ years oilfield operations management/supervisory experience
- Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) experience with a focus on planning and design of upstream oil and gas E&P projects
- Experience in task management to include planning, oversight, coordination, project status, and reporting and budget analysis
