Senior Process Chemist - Chemical Manufacturing

Our client is actively recruiting a highly experienced Senior Process Chemist for their Chemical Manufacturing division. This is a fully remote position, designed for a professional who thrives in a results-oriented, independent work environment. You will be responsible for optimizing existing chemical manufacturing processes, developing innovative new synthesis routes, and ensuring the scalability, safety, and efficiency of production. This role demands a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, organic synthesis, and process optimization, with a strong focus on remote collaboration and digital process management.

You will be a key contributor to improving operational excellence and driving product innovation.

• Optimize and troubleshoot existing chemical synthesis processes to improve yield, purity, and efficiency.
• Develop novel, scalable, and cost-effective synthetic routes for new chemical products.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety improvements.
• Collaborate remotely with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless process scale-up.
• Analyze process data using statistical tools to identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the development of process documentation, SOPs, and batch records.

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process chemistry, preferably in chemical manufacturing or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong background in organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and process scale-up.
• Experience with process optimization techniques and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
