About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their fully remote team. This position is integral to managing and optimizing the company's upstream assets, focusing on maximizing recovery and economic value from hydrocarbon reserves. You will apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex challenges related to reservoir performance, production optimization, and field development planning. Working remotely allows you to contribute your expertise from anywhere, making a significant impact on our global Oil & Gas operations while enjoying unparalleled flexibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed analysis of reservoir performance, production trends, and economic models to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement well intervention strategies, including workovers, completions, and artificial lift system optimization.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance oil and gas recovery and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with geoscience and drilling teams to integrate subsurface data and optimize field development plans.
  • Prepare technical reports, forecasts, and presentations for management and stakeholders, clearly articulating project risks and opportunities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices within the company.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in petroleum engineering, covering reservoir, production, and drilling aspects.
  • Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation, production analysis software, and economic evaluation tools.
  • Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and wellbore hydraulics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, adept at remote collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and deliver results in a remote work setting for the Oil & Gas sector.
