About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wireless Network Engineer to join their expanding telecommunications team in Pretoria . This hybrid role involves designing, implementing, and managing state-of-the-art wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for a wide range of services. You will be a key contributor to network strategy and will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge wireless technologies.

- Design and implement robust wireless network solutions, including Wi-Fi, cellular (4G/5G), and other wireless technologies.
- Conduct site surveys, network planning, and RF optimization to ensure maximum coverage and minimal interference.
- Manage and troubleshoot wireless network infrastructure, including access points, controllers, and related hardware.
- Ensure the security of wireless networks through the implementation of encryption and authentication protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing wired infrastructure.
- Stay current with emerging wireless technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to the existing infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in wireless network engineering and design.
- Proficiency with various wireless standards (e.g., 802.11ac/ax, LTE, 5G ).
- Experience with wireless network security standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with RF planning tools and spectrum analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
