Civil Design Engineer - Municipal Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Civil Design Engineer to bolster their municipal infrastructure team in Polokwane. This role involves the design and project management of essential public works, including water, sanitation, and road projects that serve the local communities. Working within a hybrid model, you’ll contribute to vital infrastructure development while enjoying a balance between office collaboration and remote work flexibility.

You will be key in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that enhance the quality of life for residents in the Limpopo province.

• Design and oversee the implementation of municipal civil engineering projects, such as water reticulation, sewerage systems, and roads.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new infrastructure developments.
• Ensure compliance with municipal standards, building regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractor performance.
• Liaise with municipal officials, consultants, and community stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., Civil Designer, AutoCAD).
• Good understanding of municipal planning and approval processes.
