About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Avionics Engineer to join their forward-thinking team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to contribute your expertise from anywhere while driving advancements in aircraft electronics and communication systems. You will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of complex avionics systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
This role requires a deep technical understanding, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology in a remote-first environment.
- Design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art avionics systems, including navigation, communication, flight control, and display systems.
- Perform system analysis, modeling, and simulation to validate design performance and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Lead the testing and validation of avionics hardware and software, developing test plans and procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex avionics issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including software, hardware, and systems engineers.
- Stay current with emerging avionics technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in avionics systems design, development, and integration.
- Expertise in avionics standards such as ARINC, MIL-STD, and DO-160.
- Proficiency with avionics simulation tools and embedded software development environments.
- Strong understanding of flight control systems, navigation principles, and communication protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for a remote team.
