About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing team in Cape Town . You will play a crucial role in managing and executing electrical engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to implementation and commissioning. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will work within a collaborative environment, interacting with clients, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives. This hybrid position offers a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of electrical engineering projects.
• Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure all electrical aspects meet technical requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to procure materials and services, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status and resolve on-site challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project engineering or management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in project management software and electrical design tools.
