Civil Engineer - Transportation Planning

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in Transportation Planning to join their innovative team, offering the flexibility of remote work. Based initially in Centurion but operating remotely, you will be instrumental in developing sustainable and efficient transportation systems for urban and regional areas. Your work will focus on analyzing traffic patterns, forecasting future needs, and designing integrated transportation solutions.

• Conduct comprehensive transportation studies, including traffic analysis, demand forecasting, and network modeling.
• Develop conceptual designs and feasibility studies for transportation infrastructure projects like roads, public transit systems, and pedestrian facilities.
• Utilize transportation modeling software (e.g., VISUM , CUBE , TransCAD ) to simulate and evaluate different scenarios.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and policy recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with urban planners, environmental specialists, and other engineers to integrate transportation plans with broader development goals.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering and planning.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering.
• Proficiency in transportation modeling software and GIS tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
