Field Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Network Engineer to join their remote support team, servicing clients across various locations, with a focus on the Randburg area. This role involves deploying, configuring, and maintaining complex network infrastructures at client sites, often requiring travel and on-site problem resolution, while being managed remotely. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our clients' networks, working with state-of-the-art technology.

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure solutions at client locations.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
• Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan and design effective network deployments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and on-site technical staff.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and procedures.

• Extensive experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar senior network role.
• Deep understanding of routing protocols , switching technologies, VPNs, and network security principles.
• Proficiency with various network hardware vendors and management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Willingness to travel as required for on-site deployments and support.
