About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Solar Energy Systems Designer to join their team, operating in a completely remote capacity. This role is integral to the design and optimization of photovoltaic (PV) solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. You will translate client needs and site assessments into detailed system designs, ensuring compliance with technical standards and maximizing energy output.

- Design customized PV solar energy systems, including site layout, component selection (panels, inverters, mounting), and electrical schematics.
- Perform energy production calculations and system performance analysis using specialized software.
- Ensure designs comply with electrical codes, building regulations, and utility interconnection standards.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and successful project execution.
- Stay updated on the latest solar technologies, products, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing solar PV systems.
- Proficiency with industry-standard solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD).
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, solar components, and system integration.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple design projects efficiently in a remote environment.
