About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to join their fully remote engineering division, focusing on significant infrastructure projects across South Africa. You will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and oversight of structural elements for bridges, buildings, and other critical infrastructure, ensuring their robustness, safety, and longevity. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail, enabling you to contribute effectively from your home office.

- Perform structural analysis and design for various infrastructure components, including bridges, viaducts, and commercial buildings.
- Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard software.
- Conduct peer reviews of structural designs to ensure adherence to codes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines in a virtual setting.
- Undertake site visits and inspections as required, maintaining meticulous records of structural integrity.
- Stay abreast of new materials, technologies, and building codes relevant to structural engineering.
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or equivalent degree in Civil or Structural Engineering .
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP
2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro. - Strong knowledge of relevant South African National Standards (SANS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, vital for remote team collaboration.
