Senior Electrical Engineer - Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage diverse electrical projects within their organization, based in Randburg , Gauteng. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work effectively within a hybrid model. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design through to execution and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a key position for an engineer who enjoys technical challenges and stakeholder engagement, contributing to significant infrastructure and development projects.

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop detailed electrical system designs, schematics, and specifications for various applications.
• Oversee project implementation, including contractor management, site inspections, and progress monitoring.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during project execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering ;
  Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) designation preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing and delivering electrical engineering projects.
• Proven track record in design, specification, and implementation of electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with essential on-site responsibilities in Randburg .
