About the Role
Our client is looking for a visionary Lead Structural Engineer to spearhead their structural design efforts in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of robust structural solutions for a variety of challenging construction projects. You will lead a remote engineering team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure all designs meet stringent safety standards and regulatory requirements, working entirely from your home office.

- Lead the structural design process for diverse construction projects, from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.
- Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced engineering software for steel, concrete, and other materials.
- Develop and review structural drawings , specifications, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with national building codes and standards.
- Manage and mentor a remote team of structural engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams via digital communication channels to resolve design issues and ensure project objectives are met.
- Oversee site inspections and provide technical guidance to construction teams as needed, leveraging remote communication tools and site reports.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project management.
- Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
- Expertise in finite element analysis (FEA) software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software. - Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects in a remote work setting .
