About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Civil Engineering Technician to support infrastructure development projects in Centurion . This role involves providing technical assistance in the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, and water systems. You will work closely with civil engineers and project managers, contributing to the accurate implementation of technical drawings and specifications.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, ensuring the quality and integrity of critical infrastructure projects while adhering to all relevant industry standards and best practices for urban development.
- Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, plans, and specifications for civil engineering projects.
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and measurements to gather necessary data.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Perform calculations and analysis related to structural integrity, material quantities, and site development.
- Prepare reports on project progress, site conditions, and technical findings.
- Liaise with contractors, site personnel, and other stakeholders to address technical queries and issues.
- Diploma or National Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
