Senior Thermal Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Thermal Engineer to lead thermal management solutions for their innovative products. This is a fully remote position, offering the chance to work on challenging projects from anywhere. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and validating thermal systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability under extreme conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, and advanced simulation techniques.

You will collaborate with a talented, distributed team of engineers, driving the thermal design strategy and contributing to the development of next-generation technologies in a flexible, home-based work environment.

• Design and develop comprehensive thermal management solutions for electronic and mechanical systems, including heat sinks, fans, and liquid cooling systems.
• Perform detailed thermal analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations using tools like ANSYS Icepak or Solid Works Flow Simulation.
• Validate simulation results through experimental testing and prototype evaluation in a lab environment (remote setup coordination).
• Develop and maintain thermal models and design guidelines to ensure product reliability and performance targets are met.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and mechanical design teams to integrate thermal solutions effectively.
• Troubleshoot thermal issues in existing products and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in Thermodynamics or Heat Transfer.
• 8+ years of professional experience in thermal engineering and analysis.
• Extensive experience with CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+) and thermal simulation tools.
• Proven track record of designing and validating complex thermal management systems.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid dynamics, and material properties.
