About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Reservoir Engineer to join their innovative team based in Centurion . This role is crucial for analyzing and managing the company's hydrocarbon reserves, focusing on optimizing recovery and maximizing asset value. You will be responsible for developing and implementing reservoir management strategies, conducting performance analyses, and providing technical support for field development planning. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a hybrid work environment, supporting the strategic growth of our client's operations in Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed reservoir characterization and simulation studies to understand fluid flow and predict reservoir performance.
- Develop and update reservoir models using industry-standard software packages.
- Analyze production data, conduct performance reviews, and recommend strategies for production optimization and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
- Assist in the preparation of field development plans, reserve reports, and economic evaluations.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to ensure integrated field management.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in reservoir engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering , reservoir management, or simulation.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE).
- Strong understanding of reservoir fluid properties, rock mechanics, and well test analysis .
- Experience in data analysis and interpretation of geological and geophysical data.
- Effective communication skills for presenting technical findings to diverse audiences.
