About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Solar Energy Systems Specialist to join their innovative team. This is a remote position focused on the technical aspects of solar energy solutions. You will be instrumental in designing, specifying, and providing technical support for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of these systems, contributing to our client's mission of promoting clean energy.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for sustainable energy technologies. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and installation teams to deliver state-of-the-art solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer solar PV systems, including component selection, layout, and electrical schematics.
  • Perform site assessments and analyze energy production potential for various installations.
  • Provide expert technical support to sales teams, installers, and customers regarding solar system design and performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and relevant codes and standards for solar installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar system performance and equipment.
  • Collaborate on product development and improvements for solar energy solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar components such as PV modules, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures.
  • Proficiency with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Aurora Solar, Helioscope).
  • Understanding of electrical codes, building codes, and utility interconnection standards relevant to solar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
