About the Role
Our client seeks a specialized Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems to join their team in Bloemfontein . This role is crucial for the design, implementation, and maintenance of efficient and effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various projects. You will work on ensuring optimal thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency in buildings. This position offers a blend of office-based collaboration and remote work flexibility, allowing you to leverage your specialized knowledge in a dynamic setting, contributing to sustainable building design and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Design and engineer HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection for heating, cooling, and ventilation.
- Develop detailed HVAC drawings, specifications, and schematics using CAD software .
- Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize system efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and clients to integrate HVAC designs seamlessly.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering .
- Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in HVAC system design and application.
- Proficiency with HVAC design and analysis software (e.g., HAP, TRACE 700, Revit MEP).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and building physics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid model.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is a significant advantage for this role in Bloemfontein .
