Refinery Chemical Engineer

About the Role  Our client is seeking a specialized Refinery Chemical Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on optimizing refinery operations. Key Responsibilities   Analyze and optimize unit operations within refinery processes (e.g., distillation, cracking, reforming).
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to improve process efficiency, product quality, and asset reliability.
Conduct techno-economic evaluations for process upgrades and new technology implementations.
Develop and maintain process models to support operational decision-making and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with on-site operations and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and manage change.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards in all process-related activities.
Requirements   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
5+ years of experience specifically in refinery or petrochemical process engineering.
Strong understanding of refining unit operations, process chemistry, and simulation tools.
Proven ability to analyze complex operational data and identify improvement opportunities.
Excellent remote communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with process safety management in a refinery context.
